Cache is placed at one of the driveways (now closed) to the Bancroft MTO complex (or to us old timers, what used to be known as DHO for Dep't of Highways, Ontario) ; the old wooden buildings you can see past the fence is where the road painting section was.
The office building is now occupied by a handful of MTO staff & the Service Ontario office. The garage & buildings behind is now the Town of Bancroft works dept;(their former facility is now the new Shell gas bar).Even the current OPP office was once part of the MTO complex. Over 200 people were employed here at one time. ***Notice*** I have adopted this cache from Partsman41. Thanks so much for making all of these awesome cache in our area. I was sad to see you leave this area and wish you nothing but good things for your new chapter in your life.

[ NOTE: It is not necessary, nor should you, drive around the MTO property. Cache is accessible from Monk Rd. (Hwy 28). Look for the hydro sub-station - can't miss it. ]
