Geocache Description:

(Awatea is a Māori term meaning bright pathway

This is my first Cach I have put out. I used my Samsung phone and it suggested that the accuracy was 6m, be aware if your using GPS you might get a different reading. Your looking for an eclipse mint tin.
Over looking the newly formed Awatea Basin you'll find the GZ, with intense buliding sourrounding the area being stealthy will become apparent in later years.

Flag Counter You'll find a couple of basins in the area, these are designed to catch water and hold it slowley releasing the water into the nearby Heathcote River / Ōpawaho reducing peak flows downstream expect to get a little damp and a bit of mud on you if it has been raining.

This is a great place to fly kites, frisbee's and exercise the dog in summer/dry months.
