Geocache Description:

American Pie was a popular song by songwriter and singer Don McLean, released in 1971.  There are several websites that give the meanings of the lyrics.  (Funny though, how all of the explanations are somewhat different!)

"Bye, bye, Miss American Pie"
"Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry. . ."

This cache is located on the levee of the Nooksack River in Hovander Park.  It is near the top of the levee; no need to go down to the edge of the river.  You might want to keep a hand on small children here.

cache is a green waterproof match container.

Caution:  This area is open to waterfowl hunting in the fall and winter.  Please take appropriate caution.
