This cache is meant to replace the popular "Grandfather's Forest", which has now been archived. This cache is nearer to the summit of the hill and provides good views over Albury and Mt Bogong (snow-clad in winter).
To reach the cache it is best to park at the car-park at the highest point on Gap Road. Take care crossing Gap Road, it can be busy and speed limits are not always adhered to! Alternative entries are from Golf View Terrace or Delaney Street. The cache is about 60 m off the track so there is no need for bush-bashing. While you are on this hill enjoy the views fom the comfort of benches around the water-tank (100m from GZ). Best time of the year for visiting this hill is late August / early September when the hill turns into a wild-flower wonderland.
The cache is a small Sistema container containing logbook and pencil, Tumbled Stone and a sterling silver ring for the FTF.
