I have been travelling along this long highway over the past 10+ years wth my wife in our 4WD's having stopped at this Roadhouse each visit,,
I have taken lots of sunset photos of the old water tanks that used to refill the old steam locos on the way north to Alice Springs, plus the airstrip right at the rear of the caravan park, used by light aircraft including the Royal Flying Doctor.
The roadhouse was established by the original owners of Mt Willoughby Cattle Station, then purchased recently by a couple from South Australia.
I have enjoyed many stays in the caravan park and felt this would be a great cache spot along this long highway.
Mark, the Manager of the Cadney Park Roadhouse & Caravan Park, has agreed to maintain the cache on my behalf .
The staff here always have a friendly smile, with Mark the Manager ready to help. Take a look at the Long-haul Truckers , have a coffee and a cold drink , take a look at the Rusty Water Tanks outback of the Roadhouse, great photo opportunity. The container is a Magnetic Key Case , log book only, bring your own pencil.
