Geocache Description:

This cache is a small to regular sized container hidden off an old section of road that has been blocked off for decades. This is public land so no worries. There is a parking area next to the trail large enough for a few cars. Enter where you see the rocks. Just make sure not to block the gated path or driveway with your car.

The Old Banana Cache gets its name from some of the locals. The street is sort of shaped like a banana from a birds eye view. This road is a section of the old School St. before the town did construction years ago. The road has since turned into an overgrown semi-paved pathway that will lead you back about 500 feet. Watch out for a little bit of glass here and there. Maybe some Poison Ivy in the summer. Years ago I remember coming here with my dad to go fishing in the pond but it has almost completely grown in. This cache is not wheelchair friendly.

The cache container is approximately 8 inches tall and 5 inches wide. It is a snap locking plastic food storage container wrapped in duct tape. Large enough for travel bugs. This is just a skip away from RT140 and 495.
What I've put inside to start with: Fishing bobs, assorted dinosaurs, a seashell, sea turtle, Raffi tape cassette(a treasure!), rubber ducky, drink coaster, pen, logbook, geocache rules.

Have fun and thanks for visiting my Old Banana!! Congrats to Bogeyscache for FTF!!
