This is a small camouflaged cache placed alongside the lovely Grantham Canal. It can be done on it's own or along with others along the tow path or in the general area.It is part of my occasional elemental series in which the element or it's atomic number have some form of connection with the cache.
The cache is a camouflaged 2ml screwtop container which is fixed in place so it doesn't stray too far - so please take care when moving it. You may find tweezers useful in extracting the log.
The tow path here is grassed so it can be a bit muddy after sustained rain but it makes for a lovely walk and there is plenty of wildlife and the scenery is picturesque.I'm afraid the towpath isn't really wheelchair accessible at this point. All terrain buggies should be ok in summer but probably not after sustained rain.
The cache is not situated immediately beside, in or over the water. You will only get wet if it is raining or muddy!
Please be aware that although the canal is generally a safe environment, the usual caveats apply in relation to the danger for unsupervised children and deep water. Enjoy yourself but STAY SAFE
