Geocache Description:

Welcome to Water Street, one of Milwaukee’s popular entertainment districts. You’re standing in Red Arrow Park, home of the Slice of Ice skating rink during the winter months! Read the two plaques next to the flagpole to learn the history behind Red Arrow Park’s name. 

Meet the neighborhood!

Facing SOUTH you see Milwaukee’s City Hall, a national historic landmark built in 1895 (at that time, the third tallest building in the world). If you head SOUTHWEST just a bit, you may even find the secret location of Milwaukee's spy bar, home to the Covert Cache, the Safe House! To the WEST is the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts – home to the Milwaukee Ballet, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Florentine Opera, First Stage Children’s Theater and numerous other productions throughout the year. At night, a state-of-the-art LED lighting system bathes the building’s exterior in a kaleidoscope of changing colors! Just a block NORTH, is a great group of casual restaurants and pubs and to the EAST is the East Town neighborhood.
