This cache is placed in the Le Grande trail area. It is placed in honor of SP500 who places new caches in this area each winter to keep our sport alive.
On the day this was placed, the first real day of Spring showed itself. I saw deer, a couple sandhill cranes, a butterfly, a fly, a fuzzy caterpillar and several birds and frogs could be heard in the beaver pond. The temperature reached the upper fifties allowing for a great day of caching.
