Geocache Description:

Oppikker aan het oude rusthuis "Releghem".

Het OCMW Zemst is gehuisvest in het voormalige Rusthuis Releghem, dat in 1893 werd opgetrokken in neo-Vlaamse stijl i.o.v. graaf Edmond de Baillet voor de opvang van bejaarden. Bij zijn dood in 1913 ging het rusthuis bij testament over naar de Commissie van Openbare Onderstand en behield het zijn functie tot in 1994 het nieuwe rusthuis af was. De administratie van het OCMW is er nu gevestigd.
