Geocache Description:

Cache situated in canal location - nice walking area. Historic relavance associated with National Trust Aberdulais Tinworks and Waterfall.

Pleasant location, along side the Neath canal which runs from PontNeathVaughan near Glynneath to Neath. The canal was constructed by the Neath Canal Navigation with work starting from Neath and progressing Northwards before completion in 1795. This and the Tennant which can be seen meeting the Neath Canal in Aberdulais basin and runs down through Briton Ferry to Swansea Docks helped import materials and export the finished tinplate from NT Aberdulais Tinworks and Waterfall – Visit us to find out more!
