FlockofSpeeguls: The construction to the park has been completed. The town has removed the three 20'-0" concrete spears, the fountain, the stairs and steps, the low brick wall and the raised green area in the front. The location and hiding place of the cache is no more. Thank you all who spent time looking for the cache thank you for the emails asking for hint and help (no, it's evil) and to the few who found the cache and keeping it's location a secret. I've post copies of the log sheets below for people to see.

I am planning on creating another "evil little" cache for the down town area of Middletown in the coming months. So please keep an eye out for it. And as always, Happy Hunting.

Geocache Description:

Can you find this cache? Downtown automobile traffic, pedestrian traffic and shops… This is no simple park and grab, and should be attempted by those with strong geo-senses. “Spear Park” in Middletown is at the intersection of Main and William streets next to the senior center. It has large concrete sculptures, planting beds with trees, half a dozen benches and a water fountain. Only Attempt this cache during the day (park is closed at night) and bring your own pen.

There's no need to remove bricks, dig up dirt, or anything excessive on this one. That does not mean this will be an "Easy" cache. Be prepared to spend some time here, so bring a lunch, enjoy the fountain (in the summer months) and maybe visit some of the local shops. I work in the area and will be checking the cache often and keeping it in good condition.

The cache is a small, homemade; container with just enough room for a couple of log sheets so you’ll need to bring your own pen. It is will hidden and camouflaged to blend into its surroundings. I used two different GPS units, collecting (8) sets of data points and took the average of those points for the final set of coordinates.

For all those who find this cache, please do not give out any hints. I've been in spots where I badly want hints, but everyone should be able to agree that finding it without hints makes the find much better.
