Bungabee Mud Pits
This cache is hidden in Bungabee State Forest which is home to one of the best local 4x4/Trailbike tracks. The forest is located between Kyogle and Lismore. Turn off at the Fairbrae dairy farm (Hartley Bridge Rd). Turn left onto Oneill Rd. Follow the road until you reach the gates to the State Forest. Plenty of 4x4 tracks and bike tracks wind their way around the hills. Follow the main track untill the listed waypoint, where the track splits. The cache is located on the right hand path. The track down to the cache is steep, rutted and rocky. There's usually plenty of mud around too. The track leads downhill the start of Oaky Creek. There's room to pull over and explore on foot, close to the cache location.
Rather than climb back up the hill the way you came, you can complete a loop by following the left hand track just down from the cache location. This way you dont have to try and climb the hill you just decended. The right hand track ventures into Muckweelee Nature Reserve.
Please note that you should only attempt this track on a trailbike or reliable 4x4 vehicle, and be comfortible with offroad driving. In wet times there can be a lot mud. You're vehicle or bike is required to be road registered to drive in NSW State Forests.
