Geocache Description:

This cache is in one of our favourite locations in Tassie. Beautiful in both summer for the view, and in winter for the snowball fights!
Be aware the weather changes constantly and quickly up here. Rug up just to be on the safe side. When we placed the cache it was about -2degrees and blowing a gale, but by the time we left the mountain the sun came out and it was looking like a beautiful day again.

Cache is a medium sized clip top container, and contains a notepad, pens, and a small special item for the FTF.
Unless you have superhero long arms, to retrieve the cache you'll need to step just off the path. Be cautious in winter, or when it is wet, as the rocks are very slippery.
The road to the top of the mountain is narrow in places, but there is plenty of room to pass other cars on the hairpin bends. There is a sign which states '4WD vehicles only past this point' just before the hairpin bends start, but we conqured the mountain in an '85 suzuki swift, so as long as there isn't snow (or much of it), 2WD vehicles should be fine. **Please note: in relation to tresspass signs near the cache - these relate to the transmission station at the top of the mountain (up the many stairs) - there is a gate and barbed wire near the top of the stairs where you can go no further - however the cache is located before you reach the top of the stairs.
