Geocache Description:

The container went missing in January of 2015, I have now replaced it as of April 2nd, the new container is smaller and hopefully will not go missing. If you can't read the number for the bonus cache notify me.

5/10/15 - I have not posted problems before with the locals near the cache but it seems I have to worn people to not go any further than they edge of the road, it is magnetic so there is no reason to go on the private property that starts at the rock face behind the cache. If anyone questions why you are there try to explain what geocaching is and if you find the cache show them what a geocache looks like.

Welcome to cache number three of the Thacher State Park to Mine Kill State Park series. There are eleven caches in this series. This series also is an effort to promote the Long Path. A number of the caches in the series are either on the long path or near to it. In ten of these caches you will get a number for the final coordinate. As a hint so you get the numbers in order follow the cache list below. This cache is at the intersection of Thacher Park Road and Ketcham Road. You can park near the stop sign at the corner. BE CAREFUL CROSSING THE ROAD WHILE DOING THE CACHE. YOU WILL NEED TWEEZERS TO GET THE LOG OUT. I would not recommend doing this cache when there is a lot of snow on the ground. Please put the container back in the same hiding spot you found it in. Also bring your own pen since there is not enough room in the cache for one. Congrats to Cully50 FTF
