Geocache Description:

Being a rather keen geocacher, I sometimes have to drag the rest of TeamLargier out caching with me. But I've never had to encourage my trusty 4-legged geocaching partner, Sam, my black lab. Over the past year, the words "Do you want to go for a walk?" have been replaced with "Do you want to go Geocaching?"; and are always met with wild excitement and a frantic search for his lead. 

The thought of going caching without him has never crossed my mind, so I am pretty much restricted to caches that are dog-friendly. I've been fortunate enough to have a holiday house in Hermanus all my life, so Fernkloof Nature Reserve holds some wonderful memories. Unfortunately, only one of the paths in the Reserve are dog-friendly (the Blue Path) and there is only one lonely cache along this path.

So this cache is for Sam, and all the other 4 legged geocachers out there - to make their Fernkloof Reserve Blue Path walk a bit more of an adventure. Please post pics of your dogs near the cache site so that we can see who has visited!

The cache is hidden right next to the path, so there is no need to step off the path or trample the vegetation.

After you have located this cache, continue along to The Dassie End... (GC1PZTH).
