ORANGE

Pure orange has an RGB value of 255-127-000, and a Hex value of FFA500.

Orange has a reletively short history as a colour - before the late 15th century was not named, just felt to be a yellowy-red or a reddy-yellow. Only when Orange trees came into Europe did the name get attached to the colour. Since then it is perhaps most controvercially known as the colour of the House of Orange-Nassau, named after the town of Orange in France and most famous for William III of Holland, who defeated the Catholic King of England and caused the colour orange to become symbolic in Ireland.

Oranges are also nice to eat, and can be easily juiced, being the most popular drink in the Sharant household.
