This is one of a set of six caches to extend this section back towards Lake Pointe Soccer Park off Haggerty Road. This section picks up near the Plymouth Township Senior Center. As with the other sections, I am naming them after bicycle manufacturers. This cache is named after Stearns Bicycle Agency. E. C. Stearns & Company began as a hardware manufacturer in New York, beginning bicycle manufacturing in 1893. Stearns also branched in steam powered automobiles. One of Stearns most popular line of bicicles were called "Yellow Fellows", produced in one-seater, two-seater tandems, triplets and sextets. In 1900 Stearns joined with over 40 other manufactures to form the American Bicycle Company.
This is intended to be a Ride & Grab cache. There is also an offical access path nearby. The cache container is a small camo painted bison tube. You will need a log extractor. Please bring your own pencil or pen.
I have found that a quick and simple log extraction tool can be made from a small paperclip. Straighten one end out. Grab just a small portion (maybe 1/32 of an inch or 1 millimeter) with a long-nose or needle-nose pliers then bend it at a right angle. I have attached one to the cache you can use. Please leave it for the next person.
