Geocache Description:

This is a multi cache that will take you on a bit of a walk or cycle or even if you prefer a short drive. You will need to gather the required information from the Greytown Community Heritage Trust Boards along the way to obtain the co-ordinates for the final hidden cache. Dogs are allowed if on a leash.

We have given you the co-ordinates to the first one to get you started, the rest you will have to find yourself, but all are placed at historic buildings/areas on West Street and Kuratawhiti Street.

Greytown was named after Sir George Grey and was the first planned inland town in NZ. It was first settled in March 1854, became a borough in 1878 and a ward of the South Wairarapa District Council in 1989.  Greytown claims to have the most complete main street Victorian Architecture in the country. This cache will take you to a few more of these examples that are off Main Street.

If you park at the given co-ordinates, you will be in West Street. All waypoints are within a short drive from here, including the final, or if you prefer you can walk or cycle. If you park here and walk to the different places, then come back to your car it will be approximately 3km.

The final can be found at:

41°.05 ABC 175°.27 DEF
