1904 köpte konstnären Anders Zorn en bit mark vid Dalälvens strand. Några gamla timmerhus flyttades till platsen som blev en fristad för Zorn. Hit kunde han dra sig undan och fiska och måla i ensamhet.
Zorn anordnade även så kallade "lekstugor" då ungdomar bjöds in för att dansa till folkmusik. Även Zorns vänner som Bruno Liljefors och Albert Engström trivdes i Gopsmor, medan Erik Axel Karlfeldt inte alls gillade det primitiva levernet på platsen.
När Spjutmodammen byggdes 1970 flyttades stugorna högre upp i terrängen till den plats där de nu står.
När cachen placerades ut var det öppet in på området och jag hoppas att de anslagna öppettiderna endast gäller för besök INNE i stugorna.
In 1904 the artist Anders Zorn bought a piece of land at Dalälvens beach. Some old log house was moved to the location that became a haven for Zorn. Here he could come and fish and paint in solitude.
Zorn also organized so-called "playhouses" where young people were invited to dance to folk music. While Zorn friends Bruno Liljeforsgatan and Albert Engström enjoyed staying in Gopsmor, Erik Axel Karlfeldt did not at all like the primitive living at the site.
When Spjutmodammen was built in 1970 the cabins were moved higher up the terrain to where they now stand.
When the cache was placed, it was open in the area and I hope the posted opening hours apply only to visits INSIDE the cabins.
