A quick cache...or maybe not?
There are some GREAT caches in Northeast PA. Many go unvisted or are retrieved only a handful of times per year due to either their relatve isolation or perceived difficulty. As such, President Obama has authorized a series of 'Stimulus Caches' to be activated to encourage cachers to go the extra mile and visit these great caches. These caches will be placed on the way to or near some of the neglected caches. *Note: Finding the caches these stimulus caches lead to is not required to log this find, but you've already come this far. Go for it!
This stimulus cache will get you near the Archbald Gorge, a great cache which took me a few trips to get but was well worth the effort. At the time of this publication, only 5 people have grabbed it in the last 3 years.
There is a wide trail leading to this cache. Please park off Salem Road to access this cache; doing so from the Casey Highway (Route 6) would require scaling a fence and a steep embankment, easily making the a 4 star + terrain rating. This mountain is full of wild life, so exercise caution at all times.
Happy caching!
Congrats to mtrmouth24, 0;)Angel, and Robert1973 on the FTF!
