Geocache Description:

A traditional cache in the Arboretum of Stanford University

This traditional cache is a small plastic pencil box containing a log book and whatever items people place in it (we left a TB and a few small toys to start it off). It is located in the Arboretum section of Stanford University. This is a less-visited part of the campus, and its naturalistic setting is a great place for a stroll or picnic. The name of the cache is a triple entendre, deriving from the contents of a nearby road sign, the reason for that sign, and the fact that if you want to attend this august institution of higher learning, you can't be a dip. Parking on Laseun St east of Arboretum St. (i.e. near the cache) is free. If driving to campus through the main entrance on Palm Dr., don't be a dip and try to turn left onto Arboretum St. It is posted as no left turn, and only dips ignore that. Proceed instead to Campus Dr., turn left there and then left on Laseun. Muggle intensity of fairly low, although this area is a favorite with off-leash dog walkers. The terrain is flat, but you can expect to be picking burrs out of your socks after the find.
