Càorle è un comune di 12.001 abitanti della provincia di Venezia, situato tra le foci dei fiumi Livenza e Lemene, che si affaccia sul Mare Adriatico a nord est della Laguna di Venezia fra le località turistiche di Eraclea e di Bibione. A partire dal 1 gennaio 2014 il territorio comunale sarà assoggettato alla Città metropolitana di Venezia divenendone una delle municipalità, dopo l'approvazione all'unanimità espressa dal Consiglio Comunale in data 17 settembre 2012.
Caorle (Càorle) is a coastal town in the province of Venice, Veneto, Italy, located between the estuaries of the Livenza and Lemene rivers. It is situated on the Adriatic Sea between two other famous touristic towns, Eraclea and Bibione.
Cáorle ['ka?orl?] ist eine Stadt in der Provinz Venedig mit 12.033 Einwohnern (Stand 31. Dezember 2011) und einer Fläche von 151 km². Mit dieser Fläche zählt Caorle flächenmäßig zu den größten Gemeinden Norditaliens. Die Stadt liegt am Fuße des Fluss Livenza, der direkt in die norditalienische Adria mündet.
Caorle wird häufig „Klein-Venedig“ genannt. Diese Bezeichnung verdankt der Ort seinen kleinen Gassen, seinen Glockentürmen und den mit typisch venezianischen Farben gestrichenen Häusern. Bemerkenswert sind vor allem die Kathedrale aus dem 11. Jahrhundert und der zylindrische Glockenturm aus dem Jahr 1100, sowie die Kirche "Madonna del Angelo" am Oststrand.
