Geocache Description:

It occurred to me that my previous geocache hides have been along the river or at a viewpoint of the river of some kind. Having been born and raised by the oceanside I find it most relaxing to be near the water. So this geocache series is near the riverside - since I can't be near the ocean - and is an attempt to obtain some peace in the city.

An oasis is a place reserved from unpleasantness, and ataraxis means serenity, tranquility, or an absence of mental stress or anxiety. Most of us lead very busy lives, but we don't have to go very far to enjoy the beauty of creation all around us. We just need to slow down and take it all in.


This should be an easy walk along a trail above the river. Be careful along here when the river comes up high in the spring and don't get too close as the current can be very strong.
