Geocache Description:


BBQ starts on Saturday, Aug. 17th @ 7:00 PM, at Lions Park in Redcliff. Parking coords are provided.
As usual we will be having a BBQ with burgers , hotdogs and drinks.
Lions Park now has a brand new water park for the kids, or, even the adults! Something for everyone!
Voting sheets will be left at every event so you can grab one per cache name, or cache team. If you don't have a voting sheet you can not vote for your favorite, so be sure to pick one up!

 The categories for this years event are as follows:

1. Get Out of Town -- On a dirt/gravel road outside city limits. Please be reasonable no more than 40 km max.
2. For the Kids -- Caches made with kids in mind. Fun for kids to find.
3. Ingenious Creations -- Most creative, something different than the usual.
4. In Plain View -- A cache that is possibly seen by all of the public.
5. Movies -- Could be a container, could be swag, or a puzzle?
6. Do Not Vote -- If you wish your cache on the list but not to be voted on then it will go here. Make sure to add CARMH4 at the beginning of the cache name like the others.

We will be giving away prizes for: youngest geocacher, furthest distance traveled, and the best geocaching story from the weekend.

Finding – You must pick up your voting sheets at the SAW4 - Welcome to Medicine Hat event (GC4BXK5). Caches for the CARMH4 event will be published Thursday, Aug. 15th so cachers can plan their route. You must not search out any caches until after 7:00 PM, Friday, Aug. 16th. You will have 24 hours to find as many caches as you like before the CARMH4 event BBQ.

Voting – Prizes will be given for the best in each category so please bring your voting sheets with you to the CARMH4 event BBQ. Redcliff Lions Park, 3rd Ave and 6th St SE, Saturday evening, Aug. 17th at 7:00 PM

Hiding – Make your hides as usual. Submitting them on line early will assure you of that spot. You can copy and paste this section into your description for your caches:
"This cache has been placed for the CARMH4 event. The cache should not be located prior to 7 PM, Friday, Aug. 16th. The caches for the CARMH4 event are released early so that the geocaching community has an opportunity to plan their routes prior to the event start."

In the Note to reviewer section of the hiding a cache page. Please state that the cache is to be held until the CARMH4 event. When picking a name for your cache be sure to add CARMH4 in front of the caches name. Example would be ........(CARMH4mycache). The deadline for you to get your caches on line and sent in would be Friday, Aug. 2nd by midnight.

You MUST also register your caches with King.Tut (Wayne){click the link} or DSK11 (Darren){click the link} by emailing your cache info. I need your geocaching name, the name of the cache hidden, the GC code, and the category you placed it in. If you do not email your cache info we can't place you on the sheet for voting, so Please email the info.
