An excellent track with extensive coastal views. If walking the loop the beach return can only be accessed 3 hours each side of low tide. Park at the Mangawhai surf club. Walk north on beach for about 15 minutes to track start where you will find the first cache. Follow the track up the hill for the remaining caches.
Elevation 61 metres. Great views from this part of the track and the worst of the climb is over. Large pill container at base of tree to the left of the track. Has log book and room for small swaps. BYO pen.
