Geocache Description:

Bike or Hike. In full, a 20 mile power trail taking in two counties, Cheshire and Flintshire. Starting in Cheshire Oaks on Route 563, the trail winds its way down to the Welsh border and on to the River Dee, eventually coming out in the outskirts of Chester City Centre. From there, we pick up Route 45 on to the canal, which evolves into Routes 56 and 5 until we come out onto the A5117. From there, the route heads back towards Cheshire Oaks, past the Designer Outlet and back to the start. The route is split up into five stages and these will be released at each launch event over the coming year. Dust down those bikes or polish your walking boots and get ready!

This is the third stage of the Bike or Hike trail, which is 4½ miles long. New caches will be released during the afternoon but we will be meeting up in the morning to bike/hike the route. Each stage is linear and it is not compulsory to do the new caches, you could wait until they are all published or just come to the event.

The third event will be held at the Plough Inn pub in Aston on Saturday 13th July 2013. We will be meeting officially from 17:30 but you are welcome to arrive earlier to order food. I will have copies of a lateral thinking quz if anybody is interested in taking part - with a prize for the winner and we will be holding a raffle during the evening - £2 per strip or 3 for £5. Prizes will be gratefully recieved and all proceeds will go to a cancer charity. To assist the pub in providing food - if you could mention in your 'will attend' log whether you are eating and if so, how many, I would appreciate it.

There is also an existing cache within walking distance of the pub - WolverineX’s GC48RNQ Comic Book #2 Spiderman .

Any updates will be posted here:

We will be holding a raffle during the evening - £2 per strip or 3 for £5. Prizes will be gratefully recieved and all proceeds will go to a cancer charity. Instead of the iecebreaker, there will now be a lateral thinking quiz which I have devised and Steve of Harveyjj has designed two brilliant badges for the event and series - they are on the page above. Keep checking for more updates!

NEWSFLASH
As part of their preparation for the month of Geocaching in August 2013, Groundspeak are designating this 13th July as the Geocaching Get Outdoors Day. This means that attending or finding a cache on this day will earn you a special souvenir. Souvenirs are also available on each day of August if you find a cache/attend an event. All the more reasons to attend!

Thanks to the brilliance of Sir & Lady Harveyjj, I present these profile badges that you can display with pride if you have attended this event or completed Stage 3 (or both!)
