I am a train enthusiast and have been posting virtual caches of interesting trains and railroad memorabilia. Please enjoy.
The coordinates are for a railroad museum, but the true nature of the cache is the area that is saturated with railroad history. The old Rock Island station (N 37° 41.156 W 097° 19.748) was built around 1900 and serves as a restaurant today. Directly north of the museum is the Union Depot built around 1920. If you walk to the west you will see the old Rock Island freight depot, it is abandoned now.
The Museum is open on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and costs $3.50 to tour, but you do not need to tour museum to get certificate.
The password is the first two words of the museum name (i.e. xxxxx xxxxxx Transportation Museum) in lower case and with a space.
