Tarbet Avenue Cache Stop Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

indiana_dad: I have finally got around to setting a replacement in the area so it is with mixed feelings I am archiving this cache.

Many thanks and congratulations to those of you who found and signed the log, especially collapsibletank who got the ball rolling despite the container making its way to the floor between placing and activating.

Two months is not long enough for a cache to be loose in the wild but I'm kinda chuffed bearing in mind the amount of people who use a bus stop, and that they do get cleaned regularly. The bus stop guys, not the people !

Tonight I am planning on submitting the new cache so please bear with me until the Real Tarbet Avenue cache goes live. I have intentionally placed a different cache so you can all bag another smiley and increment your cache count total. Happy caching.

Geocache Description:

As an urban dweller my first hide had to be an urban cache and, because of the site, it will require stealth if it is to remain un-muggled.

The GZ is very easy to get to with ample parking in close proximity. Please be careful if you have to cross the main road as it can be quite busy with the sun making visibility tricky for drivers at certain times of the day.

It is even easier to get to if you travel the J, K, T, Y, 1, 1A or 1B bus routes. I must confess to being an infrequent bus traveller so please check that the one you intend to get on will actually stop where you wish before boarding. I know they all travel the right road, but cannot be held responsible should you end up having to walk up, or down, the hill because the driver refused to stop.

Depending on the time of your visit this can be a high muggle area with plenty of passing traffic and overlooking windows. The cache is placed against all recommendations re discovery, so it is more a challenge to geocachers to see how long it can remain un-muggled rather than a challenge to find in the first place.

Please replace carefully and in the orientation you found it.

No hint as I think most geocachers will spot the hide after a short, but furtive, look-over. New for May: No longer a Premium cache.
