Geocache Description:

A little hike from the East Sentinel parking lot, the cache is a realatively quick P&G (10-15 minutes, now, likley more as the plants come back). The cache is mostly hidden from the road, but watch for Muggles in the parking lot.

This cache is actually to promote the absolute AWESOMENESS that is Wildcare of Oklahoma! The WildCare Foundation provides a place for people to take native injured or orphaned wild animals struggling to survive, with the goal of releasing healthy animals back to nature. Since 1984 they’ve cared for more than 55,000 injured animals, and it’s run completely by donation… That’s pretty awesome. As fate would have it, this cache is nowhere near Wildcare… = )

Funny story ~ After a great conversation with the woman that accepted an injured bunny from us, a couple of weeks of authorizations from a people that shouldn’t have been giving authorizations, and then being told to “…come talk to the owner”, we were finally informed through a messenger that we were “…welcome to place the cache anywhere…as long as it’s not actually on the property (where the only trees are).” [Heavy Sigh] Thanks. That’s not the kind of permission we needed… LOL!!

So, after driving around for half an hour, looking for a tree to chain this cache to, I threw my hands up in frustration and headed to a pretty spot by the lake, at least .1 miles from the nearest cache… And thar she lies.

Lovely little vantage point for sun set, and a great place to put-in for kayaking, when the lake has water in it. Be sure to get there quick as it’s not far from where wild children roam in the summer. I’m betting it’s muggled by the end of the season. LOTS of spiders and webs out there today so you're likely to encounter a bunch of the lovelies on this page... Enjoy the hunt. = )
