SWE: På denna plats med adress Norra Fiskargatan 18 låg det ett bostadshus som var det enda bostadshus som fanns kvar efter den s.k. stadsdelsförnyelsen på Öster. Huset byggdes 1870 som envåningshus och år 1913 byggdes huset på med ytterligare en våning. Efter att det för några år sedan hamnade i kommunens ägo förföll det snabbt och revs november 2021.
På 1940-talet beslöts att stadsdelen Öster skulle rivas och ett nytt industriområde byggas upp. Stadsdelen fick byggnadsförbud och började förfalla. Men på grund av att andra industriområden byggdes ut blev det aldrig någon efterfrågan efter detta industriområde så på 1960-talet beslöts att den kraftigt förslummade och avfolkade stadsdelen skulle saneras. Saneringen innebar att samtliga bostadshus utom detta revs och ersattes av punkthus och lamellhus i mexitegel.

ENG: In this place with address Norra Fiskargatan 18 was the only residential building that remained after the so-called "neighborhood renewal" in the Öster. The house was built in 1870 as a one-storey house, and in 1913 the house got an additional floor. After it had been taken over by the municipality it fell into disrepair and was demolished november 2021.
In the 1940's it was decided that the district Öster would be demolished and a new industrial park built. New buildings were not allowed here and the district began to decay. But due to other industrial areas built out, it was never any demand for this industrial park and in the 1960's it was decided that the sharp rundown and deserted neighborhood should be cleaned up. The cleaning meant that all houses except this was demolished and replaced by tower blocks and slab in mexitegel.
