In the mid-1960s St Saviour’s was replaced by a new church St Paul’s. St Saviour’s was demolished and Rectory Close houses built where it once stood. St Paul’s, a new rectory and church hall were all built in the grounds. A picture showing the construction of St Paul’s Church bell tower. The foundation stone was laid in May 1965 and the church was consecrated a year later.
