Heres a question. Why do all our Geocaching events have to be in the evening? A famous explorer once said "Geocaching is best on a Sunday morning with a full stomach" and I agree with him (or her!). So come join us early Sunday morning to fill your stomach, have your fill of geochat, and fill your mind with ideas for Sunday caching!
We've had lots of events all over Ireland recently, so after a bit of a gap since our last installment I think its time for the second helping of my "Swedish Breakfast" series, which will take place on Sunday, 30th June starting from 930am. We'll meet in the restaurant on the very top floor of Ikea (go in via the main entrance under the building and just follow the escalators) at one of the tables. The restaurant opens at 930am and I will have my food and be seated at about 945am. If you're eating, I would suggest getting food before meeting the group due to the fact that you can get free tea/coffee from 930am to 1000am.
There is however, absolutely no requirement to buy food or drink at the venue; however I would imagine it is hard to watch other people tearing into bacon and sausages when you're having nothing :) We will be onsite probably until about 1130am or as long as we want.
This will be an opportunity to help travel bugs and geocoins on their way as well as eat a hearty breakfast ready for your own Sunday caching adventures. Bring your own personal coin/bug selection for discovery and bring your questions about that annoying puzzle along too. You may (or may not) get help! If you have any plans for upcoming caches, this event would be a great time to discuss them with the group. If you're thinking of going to your first event, come along! We don't bite.
We proved last time that Sunday morning is a great day for events, lets do it again and get full stomachs before heading out on our own caching adventures around Dublin.
As an aside, I also have to buy a new fire blanket while I'm here, after some over-zealous 'experiments' with par-boiling chips and throwing them into sunflower oil. Don't let me forget!
To/from the event:
There is an absolutely incredible amount of free parking in the Ikea carpark so car is by far the best way to get here. Unfortunately there is no bus service from the city center at this hour on a Sunday.
