The DuPont Airfiled was a private airfield built by Henry B. duPont. In 1927, Charles Lindbergh landed here. And, during World War II it was used as a flight training site for the Navy and a base for the Civil Air Patrol. Space limitations led to the transfer of most operations following the war. The airfiled is now the site of the DuPont Barley Mill office complex which will soon be developed into a multi-use facility property.
