Double Bluff Beach Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Whidbey Walk: GONE![:O] That must have been quite a storm. The cache was originally placed behind and somewhat below a 4+ foot diameter log. When I went out there today I expected the cache to be perhaps buried in sand from the storms and tide but found things to be quite different altogether. The large log it was hidden behind is nowhere to be found. Things are so different I had to turn on the GPS just to find the right spot.[B)]

For now we don’t have any plans to replace this cache, but it is still a nice place for a cache.[;)] (Hint, hint to other cachers out there.)

Geocache Description:

An easy walk on another fine beach.

whidbey walk logo This is our kids’ favorite beach on the island. Lots of sand and fairly shallow water make it an ideal place to play. There is an off leash dog area and plenty of beach to walk and enjoy the view. On clear days Mt. Rainer dominates the Seattle skyline to the south. Watch the ships transit into the Sound or just feel small at the foot of the bluffs.

The park gets busy when the weather is nice. Parking is at the end of Double Bluff Rd. N47° 58.932’ W122° 30.845’ The cache is a small ammo can and contains a variety of items.
