Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Highlander Cache Chronicles!

When you have found all the caches in this series you will have assembled a collection of FIVE clues and ONE hint which, when put together in just the right order, will guide you to the location where the Gathering will take place.

Be wary as you approach each cache site because immortals could be engaged in battle there. If you are near GZ when an immortal is beheaded and the quickening begins, you may experience all manner of unearthly trauma. Bolts of lightning will emanate from your fingertips, you will levitate, and your shoes will fly off your feet. All the hair on your body will turn to ash, any injury or scar you have ever suffered will vanish, and you yourself will become immortal!

Nah, who am I kidding? If you are anywhere near a quickening, you will probably be rendered unconscious and soil your underwear, so always carry a spare pair!

Roy is an American, and the youngest of the immortals. Born in 1858, about 9 miles southwest of Hulett, Wyoming, Roy moved to Nevada where has been abducted – repeatedly - by aliens who take him to their spacecraft to surgically remove one of his kidneys. His unique form of immortality gives his body the rare ability to regenerate any part that is removed, kidneys included. His sword is a US Cavalry sabre allegedly once owned by General George Armstrong Custer. (Roy's discovery of his immortality came at the battle of Little Big Horn)

Zhang, the Taoist Chinese, has successfully smuggled his ancient sword out of China under the pretext of escorting a replica which was donated to a worthy cause in Vancouver.

Charles, aka the Musketeer d’Artagnan, has been living a quiet and unassuming life as a baker in California when the Gathering beckoned. His rapier has accompanied him wherever he goes.

Mehmed, the Pakistani Dervish, leads a life of quiet contemplation and religious teaching when he is not killing for hire or beheading immortals. His keeps his talwar close at all times.

And the Kurgan. To this day nobody knows the Kurgan’s name, or whether he ever had one. He will be the most-feared immortal at the Gathering. It is rumoured that in the thousand years he has lived, he has killed more men, mortal & immortal combined, than Cecil B DeMille!

Remember, there can be only ONE!

SOUVENIR! If you collect geocaching souvenirs, please enjoy a small token of my appreciation for your having taken the time to search for all of my HCC caches. I have created a private personal souvenir for this series, and all I ask is that you wait until you have completed the whole series before you download it. Once you have experienced the Quickening, you can either right click on the image below and save it to your computer or open the gallery and grab it from there.
