Geocache Description:

We are placing this cache in conjunction with the nearby WWFMXBAG - World Wide Flash Mob Bay Area Geocachers event (of course it will remain long after the 15 minute event).  GC4A425 

The Wherigo, built with the Earwigo platform, will take you on a short tour of the Golden Gates Heights neighborhood of San Francisco.  You could drive, bike or walk it.  There are some hills, but nothing major, and the whole tour is less than a mile (about 0.90 mile/1.25km) and the final is about 1/3 of a mile from the start (approx. 1/2 km).  

This area contains some critical and important habitats, plants and animals and will reveal a bit of how San Francisco's landscape changed as it grew.  There are quite a few caches along the course and, in fact, you could do the Wherigo and also find a multi, a traditional, a letterbox hybrid, an unknown, and an earthcache along this route.

You must download the Wherigo cartridge, made with the Earwigo program, (you will need a device that supports Whereigo - thus the special tool attribute.)  It is available here: Golden Gate Heights
