Geocache Description:

CONGRATS TO MBOODA & PBOODA FOR FTF!!!
Congrats to Subdue for FFTF (Faux First to Find)!!

A unique cache container in an obvious spot. Thanks to Leftygator for providing the container. Thanks to MsMustache for being my guinea pig in the setup of the cache mystery.

This cache is placed in honor of Leftygator, one of the premier cachers in the State of Mississippi.  (And Louisiana.  AND Alabama.)  A great pillar of this sport, he honors those that do great things in Geocaching.  The listed coordinates are at the (suggested) end of a trail of caches placed by Lefty on Shriners’ Blvd, in honor of those cachers.

Cache is NOT located at the listed coordinates!  The cache is physically located at
N AB°CD.EFG’ W HIJ°KL.MNO’

He has also been more than happy to assist with anybody, new or old, that enjoys doing this thing of ours. The cache itself is one of Leftygator’s own, provided to my Geo-nephew by Mr. Ken at an event put on by the Hudsons where I was proud to meet not only him, but several other prominent Gulf Coast Geocachers.

This is my first cache that I’ve placed.  I hope that everyone enjoys it, and I’m placing this one because he has provided so much guidance and assistance in my young caching career.  Although he doesn’t like the mystery caches too much, hopefully someone will allow him to get the FTF.

To find this cache, a good starting spot would be Leftygator’s profile page.  You may need to venture a little further out onto the internet to find all the answers, but it won’t be very far.  All stats are as of the date of placement.

I do not recommend night caching at the final location.

A = Leftygator became a member on a Thursday.  His first find was two days later.  What was the date of the day in between?
B = Leftygator has cached in a number of countries.  This number, minus 1.
CD = What is the Julian Date of Leftygator’s membership?  Subtract 15 from this number.  This is a 3-digit number, XYZ.  CD will be either XY or YZ.
EF = Leftygator is retired from the military.  The branch in which he served was established as a separate branch on September 18th of a year.  Take the last two digits of this year, double it, and add 5.
G = As of the date this cache was hidden, the only year in which Leftygator did not have a milestone find ended in this digit.
H = My 200th find was my very first FTF, and I credit Leftygator with not getting it, allowing me the joy of my first FTF.  Find Lefty’s 200th find.  Multiply together the numbers of the GC code, and subtract 25.
IJ = On November 5, 2009, Leftygator logged a number of FTF’s on a power trail in Louisiana.  Add the number of FTF’s on that day, to the number designation of the road the power trail lies on.  Subtract 34.  (This one seems difficult but it’s towards the bottom of Leftygator’s Profile Page.)
KL = The total number of “Found It” logs from the first cache that Leftygator hid, minus the DNF’s, plus the number of “Temporarily Disabled” logs.
M = How many Cachers did he honor in his Shriner Blvd cache series?
N = The last digit of the year in which Leftygator found his second-highest annual total.
O = The number of states where Leftygator has more than 1,000 finds, plus one.

Once you've solved the puzzle, take care and watch your step!!  There is a small ditch you will have to navigate, deep holes at GZ that could cause injury, and thorns. Enjoy the hunt!
