As TeamBnE celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary, we step back into the 70’s, 1978, that is.
The exclusive club, Studio ’78, opens for one night only to celebrate this event. Can you dig it? I knew that you could. Book on over, enter past the velvet rope into the disco-ball lit room, and boogie down like it’s 1978!

After you get your VIP all-access pass, whether you can walk the red carpet in 70’s-style Armani or 2013-style Old Navy, just come with a party spirit and get freaky-deaky. Funkadelic tunes will be provided, the food and beverages are on you. Cake will be served after dinner.

Even if you didn’t live it, you know the times of ‘78, of course DISCO was king, dudes wore Angel Flight pants and turtlenecks, foxy mamas donned miniskirts, trendy platform shoes were all the rage for both sexes, sideburns reigned, Pet Rocks were adopted, Baretta and Kojak were on the job, TV shows Dallas, Fantasy Island, Diff'rent Strokes, Taxi, and World News Tonight premiered and the last regular broadcast of Columbo was aired, the first Iron Man Triathlon was held in Kona, Hawaii, Louise Brown, the world's first test tube baby is born, Pop Rocks sizzled, the "micro on a chip" was patented by Texas Instruments, Velcro made its debut, Leon Spinks beat Muhammad Ali for the heavyweight boxing title, Annie Hall won an Oscar and Star Wars received a People’s Choice award, Dallas Cowboys won on Superbowl Sunday, the NY Yankees beat the Dodgers in the World Series, the Susan B. Anthony dollar was first coined, Begin & Sadat were awarded the Nobel Peace prize after the Camp David accord, the first unsolicited bulk commercial e-mail (which would later become known as "spam") was sent by a Digital Equipment Corporation marketing rep, Jimmy Buffet’s Cheeseburger In Paradise hit the charts, Hotel California won at the Grammys, and most importantly, the Bee Gees' Saturday Night Fever album goes #1 for 24 weeks!
Contest, CONTEST, CONTEST:
Bring your best retro 70’s item and enter it in the big contest. Don’t Bogart all that great stuff you have been hoarding. Either original or reproduction, grab those iconic 70’s artifacts, and get them to the party. Dig to the back of your closet and dress in your best Disco duds (hey ladies, almost all the shoes sold now have platforms! …and where else can you guys still get more mileage out of that leisure suit you dearly love?), drag out that old technology you never tossed (still got a Pong or Atari game console hidden under the bed?), bust out your collection of 33 1/3 vinyl albums (especially those featuring the musical genius of KC and the Sunshine Band), drive on down in your classic Dodge Dart or Chevy Nova, pack up that lava lamp, unhook your Beta-max machine (go ahead and bring along that original video of Jaws), gather up all those mint Star Wars action figures we are all Jonesin’ for, put a cassette tape into that boom box, pull on that Keep on Truckin’ t-shirt, unroll that autographed poster of Farah Fawcett, fess up- are you keeping a 5.25” floppy under wraps? (we promise not to tell anyone!), NO streakers please, or put on a white suit and strike THE iconic Saturday Night Fever pose. Prizes will be awarded to the winner by popular vote. Not to get you psyched out, but the bragging rights will be epic, and we ain’t just jive talkin’.

Besides the big contest there will be games, door prizes, TB’s and coins to discover, geofriends to visit with, and fun stuff to play with available for all ages, along with the party music and atmosphere.
