Geocache Description:

The cache is located at the small parking space, sits on Route 38. There is the exhibition booth called “M7.8 panel house” with the public restroom. You can see some photos of the earthquake damages, that occurred in 1993. Please bring your pen.

ここは国道３８号線にある小さなパーキングです。トイレとは別にＭ７・８パネル館というパネル写真を展示した建物があります。１９９３年１月１５日に発生した釧路沖地震の被災状況や地震の恐ろしさを後世に残す為にパネルで展示した施設です。釧路市では震度６を観測。死者２名、負傷者９６６名、建物の全壊５３棟、半壊２５４棟などの被害が出ました。なお、その後マグニチュードは７．５と訂正されています。筆記具を持参ください。
