BettyBoo3747: Discovered the lid of the previous cache (that we could not find in May). The container left in May has been muggled. Archiving this one and have left a new one nearby. About to write up the cache page now.

Geocache Description:

Cache # 121.

Lake Nillahcootie is situated on the Broken River 36 km south of  Benalla.  This facility was built in 1967 to harness the flow of the river and to provide water for irrigation, stock and domestic supply.  The flow used to be regulated to fill Lake Mokoan but is no longer required for that purpose.

At time of cache placement the water level was considerably down on its full capacity but was still a pleasant place to admire the water with a backdrop of the distant mountains.


The cache is a micro container containing log sheet only.  Please bring your own PEN.
