Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
Please refer to the suggested parking waypoints listed in Horn Rapids Trail - 00 if you drive a low clearance vehicle. I had to use my 4x4 to get up that steep pitch between 12 and 13. Also, there is no legal access to the dirt track south of the Horn Rapids Trail Access Point ( GC4BAZ6 ). In the warm months, keep a watch out for snakes and scorpions.
It is possible to drive along the entire trail, but I suggest you consider parking and hike or bike your way along all or part the trail. There are a lot of interesting items of nature waiting to be discovered. Disclaimer: "Cache seekers (hold harmless the cache owner) and assumes all risks, responsibilities, and mental condition involved in seeking this and any cache." WARM WEATHER RATTLESNAKE WARNING: Although rattlesnake encounters are rare, they have been sighted. Please protect children and/or pets while geocaching. LOOK before reaching under rocks, in sage or in tall grass. If it does not feel safe, skip the hide and move on to another one. Cache seekers assume all risks involved in seeking a cache.
