HIGH Noon Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

coloReido: Of my ammo can hides, this one was my favorite because of how it was hidden. In light of recent misguided state park ranger rules, I cannot in good conscience swap this one out with a micro simply to keep it going. Thanks to all who visited and were rewarded with a worthy container in addition to the views. Perhaps this one may return when smarter heads prevail

Geocache Description:

Another culmination of the 'ETs'. This is what happens when they are left unattended. Hours are spent on the trails finding or hiding caches, and coming up with more ideas. On one particular winter day, coloReido started laughing, seemingly for no reason. akgh519 immediately knew that a new idea had been born, and this is the result!

This is an ammo can placed near an unnamed peak near Mount Baldy. From COO COO CLOCK, you will be looking at the twelve o'clock position... HIGH! Panoramic views of JBER, Eagle River, and Mount Susitna are provided from this spot. If the skies are clear like on the day of placement, Denali, too, may also be observed.

It actually took two visits to get this one placed... the first attempt was thwarted by a rare muggle presence. Who else would climb here?!
