The Bluff Trail is a 1.5-mile trail in Fort Flagler State Park. This trail intersects with many others in the park and features breathtaking views of the mountains and water.
This cache highlights a four-foot diameter Douglas Fir that was damaged by a lightning strike in 2004. There is a clearly defined trail that leads visitors behind the stump with the informational sign. You can view the deep groove that the bolt cut as it spiraled its way down from the top of the tree to the ground below.
