Geocache Description:

In a scenic part of Bishopstoke, this cache can be sought singly or as part of a walk (using other peoples caches) around the beautiful woodland and riverside environment of our village. This cache is situated just outside Stoke Park Wood a large tract of woodland in the parish of Bishopstoke, Eastleigh. Once part of the Royal hunting grounds introduced by the Normans in the 11th century that covered most of southern Hampshire. It's wood was used in the building of ships for the Royal Navy as well as the usual rural woodland uses such as picket making. Today Stoke Park is managed by the Forestry commission and boasts beautiful wood and farmland walks, cycle trails and great wooden play apparatus for the children. Why not combine some of the caches around this area for a great day out with the kids ?
