Rim of the City Cache Traditional Geocache

Wis Kid: I noticed that this cache has remained temporarily disabled for a period of time well in excess of the period of a few weeks as contemplated by the cache guidelines published on Geocaching.com. For now, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Geocache Description:

This is a cache for the whole family with items for all, or if you'd prefer a physical challenge, there are some steep trails you can hike to get to the cache.

This is my second cache hidden, both in the La Crosse, Wi area. This one is approachable from at least two different starting points: You could drive to the trailhead of a fairly easy walking trail which is suitable for the whole family to travel (I wouldn't bring a stroller though), or you can hike up to the cache along some fairly steep and physically challenging trails.

Don't think you're getting off easy though if you're driving, unless you're familiar with the area you may have some trouble finding the trailhead. If you take the easier way, make sure you walk the rest of the trail so you can take in the view, if you take the hard way you approach from the other direction and have to see it!

I would also suggest coming back here at night, the view is even better!

As for the cache itself, it is a plastic tupperware container with the following items inside: a cigar cutter, a book, a beanie baby, a clock, some perfume, a mystery present, and of course a pen and logbook. It shouldn't be too hard to find as there is only one side of the trail to look on (assuming you took the easy way) and isn't too far off the trail.
