Motivo de la Singularidad La casuarina o pino australiano procede del sureste de Australia y se cultiva como ornamental. Por el follaje parece una conífera, por lo que es frecuente confundirlo con un “pino” y aunque puede alcanzar mayor altura, este ejemplar destaca sobre los edificios colindantes Árbol ubicado en una bifurcación de calles, conformando un hito urbano en una de las vías más concurridas del núcleo de Las Lagunas. Why the tree is so unique This tree is found at one of the busiest cross roads, forming an urban landmark in one of the busiest areas of Las Lagunas. Casuarina or Australian pine comes from southeastern Australia and is grown as an ornamental tree. Due to its foliage it is taken for a conifer, so it is often confused for a "pine" and although it can grow higher, this tree stands out around the surrounding buildings.
