Mikkolankankaalla hiihdetään talvisin 24- h hiihto, ja kesäisin pururata on lenkkeilijöiden suosiossa. Polkuverkostoa taas käyttävät läheisten tallien ratsukot.  Etelä-Keuruun "sydämenä" toimii läheinen Pohjoislahden ala-aste.
Pellonpääntiellä on hiihtäjien ja lenkkeilijöiden suosima levike autoille, kuten myös Mikkolankadun koulun puoleisessa päässä.
