Geocache Description:

Pitstop for roadside cache on a great drive on the Loteni Road between Nottingham/Kamberg and Himeville/Underberg.



As the name implies, the cache lies at the highest point on this road and overlooks the Loteni Valley.  From here you catch a large glimpse of southern KZN and the Drakensberg stretching away in the west. 

The road can be travelled via normal sedan in dry weather. During periods of excessive rain, you will need a 4x4 as the road becomes extremely slippery. In the winter months, snow is extremely common and if the road is passable you will definitely need a 4x4. No need to hurry along this scenic route.

Take care to park on the side of the road, plenty of space near the bend. There's a bit of a scramble to the cache, but nothing too serious. Take care of loose and crumbling rocks.
