This cache is located at the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial on I-89. Please take some time to visit the memorial before or after your search!
Mrs. Bamberleslie's father, Richard Hewey, is a Vietnam Vet and this cache is placed in his honor. When in Vietnam, he served as a member of the 1st Battalion, 9th Marines, Alpha Company. This infantry battalion of the United States Marine Corps was formed during World War I and during the Vietnam War, sustained the highest casualty rate in Marine Corps history, earning the nickname The Walking Dead. Richard's name is written on the memorial inside the building, along with all other Vermonter's who fought in the war. You do not need to go inside to find the cache. You are looking for a small lock & lock container that has a log and room for trackables and other small items. There are times when this is a high muggle area and we had to wait awhile for the area to clear before we could even place the cache!
